Position: System Engineer
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Duration: 6+ Months
Description:
· Client needs someone with specific experience on Interactive Video Applications over broadcast, preferably on NDS ITV apps infrastructure.
· Analyze, design and develop robust, highly scalable Head end interactive systems.
· Interface with vendor to understand existing products and define new features.
· Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure successful launches of interactive applications.
· Support the QA team for features and performance tests.
· Upgrade the ITV/IVG Head end system to run on latest hardware, OS and database.
· Research and stay on top of industrial development of interactive technologies.
Qualifications:
· 8+ years of experience in large scale system development.
· Knowledge of the interactive applications.
· Knowledge of DSMCC and DVB.
· Master of software architecture principles and design patterns.
· Knowledge of database technologies, and network protocols.
· BS, MS in Computer Science or related disciplines (or equivalent).
· Solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures and algorithms.
· Strong experience with multi-threaded and highly scalable server-side development
· Strong computer programming skills in Java and scripting.
