Description:
A Senior Associate in PHP - Drupal, is a technical person with hands-on experience, who is capable of implementing end-to-end solution for this tech stack. He/she should be able to mentor a small group of technologist and will own planning, estimation and delivery along with aiding capability building and knowledge sharing in the identified areas. He/she will interface with client/project counterparts and ensure delivery schedule and quality is met.
EXPERIENCE
· 4-8 Years
· 6-7 of experience of software development.
· 4-5 years of Drupal delivery experience.
· 2 years of Drupal 7 experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary Responsibilities:
· Collaborates effectively with Architect and clients during the design process.
· Provides technical leadership and assumes overall accountability for a track of work
· Ensures technical solutions are properly implemented and reviews all code for quality assurance purposes.
· In partnership with Architect, helps set direction for project technology practice.
· Responsible for various aspects of ongoing support and maintenance engagements.
· Partners with project managers and other developers to successfully manage track.
Technical Responsibilities:
· Turns design and user interface mockups into functional websites powered by Drupal.
· In a hands-on fashion, ensures that technology solution is as per architecture.
· Ensure that theme is reusable and is loosely couple to the underlying framework or business logic.
· Ensures HTML/CSS is cross-browser and standards compliant and meet accessibility/disability requirements.
· Integrates websites with existing applications on campus or third-party/open-source platforms.
· Help and mentor team resolving complex bugs.
· Troubleshoot performance and environment issues.
Other Responsibilities:
· Helps team members progress toward their professional development goals.
· Defines and disseminates technology best practices.
· Advances thought leadership, specifically around Drupal, via blog, social media outlets (good to have).
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
· Experience with Drupal
· Proficient in Drupal site development including theming, custom module development contributed and core modules.
· Proficient in the maintenance and administration of Drupal modules and sites.
· Involvement in and contribution to the Drupal community.
· Familiar with each layer in the LAMP stack from application architecture and system infrastructure points of view; knowledgeable and experienced in PHP and MySQL programming.
· Comfortable integrating websites with other web applications and systems, both commercial and open source.
· Proficient in HTML/CSS, and client-side scripting libraries.
· Understands web trends, including social media integration and the impact of the growth of mobile/tablet browsing.
· Knowledgeable in the area of web content management systems; experience with multiple systems (WordPress, Joomla, Alfresco etc.)
· Strong written and oral communication skills to a variety of audiences at different levels and with different backgrounds.
· Excellent problem solving skills. Curious and adept at researching project-related issues and challenges.
· Self-starter, ability to work with minimal supervision. Equally skilled at working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
· Confident and experience in consulting/interacting with clients.
Business Knowledge: Domain experience would be a plus

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree required degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
