Jr. Hardware Mobile App embedded Consultant with Python Exp

Duration: Long Term

Location: San Francisco, CA

The firmware team is looking to add a motivated and multi-talented engineer with a focus on test tools, automation, and firmware test development. Ideally, you would be a Python expert who wants new challenges working closer to the hardware and possibly write some embedded C code as well.

•             Lead the design and development of the device test tools and enable other team members to contribute to the tool and test development

•             Setup automation for build, code analysis, release and regression testing

•             Help the rest of the firmware team to write tests and debug issues and decide what to test

•             Contribute to the overall test methodology for the product

•             Work cross-functionally with the Hardware, Mobile App, Web, and QA teams to create an awesome product experience.

 

Minimum Requirements (Please specify # of years required):

             Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or similar area.§

             2-8 years of engineering experience§

             Strong Python expertise including integrating packages like§ QT, ObjectiveC, Matlab

             Experience developing for§ Mac OSX, iOS, or Windows

             Knowledge of§ C programming for embedded devices

             Experience in communications§ over peripherals like Bluetooth, UART, USB

             Take great pride and§ ownership of the products you produce

             Enjoy being a§ team player and making everyone stronger by your contribution

 

Preferred Requirements (nice to have):

             Experience in development of§ consumer devices

             Knowledge of§ developing software for RTOS, threads, interrupts, and inter-process communications

             Active§ involvement in open source projects

             Interested in§ health and fitness tracking

             In general,§ being a cool person that you would want to work with
