Title: AEM Technical Lead/Principal Engineer
Location: NYC, NY
Duration: Long term
Description:
A technically strong hands-on expert who can design, build and support product solutions for Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), develop technical road-maps for the web CMS platform and lead the migration and maintenance of the various web properties on to AEM. The candidate should have a solid overall understanding of the system/application architecture of the AEM, its templates, widgets, components and workflows including knowledge of out of the box search capabilities and custom integration with enterprise services.
Responsibilities include:
• Designs and develops architectural approaches and solutions on the enterprise AEM platform based on business needs/requirements and develops implementation plans, estimates and budgets in conjunction with the PM, BA and other team members.
• Ensures and drives success of AEM enterprise-level integration and development efforts effecting upstream and downstream legacy systems.
• Works with functional groups both internal to Technology Service Group (e.g., project management, network operations.) and external in order to provide tightly integrated solutions between the web applications and the legacy backend systems.
• Provides solutions recommendations to solve problems considering system(s) capacity and limitations, operation time, and form of desired results
• Oversees, mentors and guides the team that analyzes, develops, installs, tests and modifies the enterprise-wide AEM platform.
• Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders and works with product owners to develop and maintain an enterprise wide, prioritizedAEM roadmap in conjunction with the legacy webCMS retirement roadmap.
• Ensures quality and on-time delivery on projects with associated documentation, user training and operationalization; drives engineering best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
• Owns and is accountable for delivering quality outcomes that balance technical, business and operational goals.
Requirements:
• Deep knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager and AEM Core components (Example: Sling, OSGI, JCR, Dispatcher).
• Strong knowledge and experience in integration with components of Adobe Marketing Cloud (including Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics and Campaign) and Adobe Social.
• Be well-versed with AEM workflows setup and maintenance as well as User and Group Management.
• In-depth understanding and expertise with AEM DAM, Renditions and DAM Workflows.
• Ability to fine-tune AEM application for optimal performance, including configuring Threads, Heap, GC Policy. FEO, JS and CSS minification and optimization. Should be familiar with application profilers.
• Experience in designing third-party integrations with AEM such as SAML Authentication Handler, Dynamic Tag Management, Brightcove, Apache SolR, etc.
• Strong Java (OSGi, JSP, Servlets) and web development (HTML, JS, CSS, Angular, jQuery, jQuery Mobile, Phone Gap, Twitter Bootstrap etc.) background with experience building cutting edge web & responsive mobile experiences.
• Hands-on experience with Sightly (AEM Templating language) and CoralUI/TouchUI frameworks.
• Deep understanding of CRX 3 (JackRabbit Oak) with MicroKernel (MK) implementations like TarMK and MongoMK.
• Proven track record to delivering enterprise initiatives working across organizational boundaries and building strong technical delivery teams.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes that balance technical and business goals.
• Broad web and digital knowledge, an aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving as well as mentoring/guiding other members of the team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to establish goals and set clear expectations, prioritize activities, and follow through to completion.
• 10+ years of experience in developing, enhancing and operating digital content platforms with at least 3-5 years of hands and/or technical leadership on AEM/Adobe CQ platform.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
