Position : WebSphere administrator

Location: Birmingham, Al

Duration : 10+ months

Description:

Administer E-Business Middleware environments including implementation and post-implementation support.  Responsible for E-Business Middleware environments including installing, supporting, monitoring, capacity planning, and scalability of clustered environments to ensure system availability.  Will be responsible for installing, configuring, tuning, maintaining, and supporting IBM WebSphere Application Server clustered environments. Will be responsible for learning IBM DataPower and Blue Coat Proxy SG appliances.  Ensure reliability and high availability of enterprise systems to meet critical business needs.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study.

5+ years experience in Middleware administration. 

3+ years experience working in *NIX environments.
Experience with enterprise networks with exposure to clustered environments.  

Experience in implementing and supporting J2EE applications
Must possess excellent written/verbal communication skills as well as research, documentation and problem solving skills. 

Preferred:

Experience in IBM WebSphere Application Server ND 6.x, 7.x, 8.x administration.

Experience in IBM Blue Coat administration.

Experience in bash, ksh and perl scripting.

Experience working with Solaris 10/11.

Experience working with webMethods Software AG.
