Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Engage in all aspects of the software life-cycle for Middle Office projects:
- Work closely with business users to gather clear requirements
- Collaborate to design and architect solutions with the team
- Build solutions using best-practice development standards and tools
- Collaborate to build and execute test plans
- Assist support teams and engage in Level 3 support.
Required Experience:
- 5 or more years of professional development experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 4 or more years of Java/J2EE experience
- 4 or more years in the financial services industry
- 3 or more years JDBC/SQL experience
- Computer Science degree or equivalent
- Experience building and supporting time-critical applications
- Familiarity with UNIX development environment
The following skills are a plus:
- Experience with Sybase
- Experience with Junit or similar tools
- Experience with real-time trade reporting
- Experience with JMS and Tibco
