Job Title: Technical Writer

Location: Hillsboro, OR

Duration: 18  months

 

Years of Experience & Expertise Level: +5 years experience; mid-to-senior level expertise; past Intel experience preferred

 

Project Description:

Technical documentation for the Service Provider Division.

 

Daily Responsibilities:

The work will be formatting and editing hardware and software documentation written by Content Developers (Technical Marketing and Development Engineering), using standard templates in Word and FrameMaker. Also publishing to Intel's content management and documentation delivery tools (ie. Anacapa, IBP).

 

Necessary Skills (Must Have):

. Expertise with Adobe* FrameMaker* on a Windows*-based PC (FM version 8 - 10). Knowledge of bookbuilding, Conditional Text, Variables and FrameScript*

. Experience using database publishing tools and processes desired: CMS, DITA, XML

. Apply Adobe* Acrobat* skills

. Expertise with Microsoft* Word*, Visio* PowerPoint*, and Excel*

. Create and/or edit technical and non-technical illustrations and graphics

 

Additional Skills Desired (Nice to Have):

. PVCS Tracker or other bug tracking software

. Anacapa

. CDI/IBL
