Job Title: Oracle DBA
Location: Cincinnati OH

Oracle Database Administrator implements, maintains and designs Oracle databases in support of the development and installation of new systems and enhancements to existing systems
Tech/Functional skill
· Must be a Oracle Certified Professional
· Minimum of 5+ years of working experience with Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition
· Strong working knowledge in the area of ASM, Grid, Multipath and RAC 11g cluster environment
· Working knowledge with RMAN backup, Data Guard Broker, Disaster Recovery environment
· Knowledge of Oracle backup and recovery scenarios
· Working experience of Oracle security management / apply patches
· Database tuning and performance monitoring.
· A good understanding of the underlying Linux operating system
Roles/Responsibilities
· Perform daily check (connectivity between Oracle & other interfaces, ASM instance, listeners, database are up & functional)
· Monitor storage usage levels in logical and ASM data, clean logs, check RMAN & online backup
· Perform health check for DR database
· Provide weekly/monthly reports in terms of utilization and capacity plan
· Perform technical trouble shooting, resolve performance issues and interface working with Oracle technical team for any technical support
· Provide 24x7 technical support on call basis, when required
· Perform Disaster Recovery tasks on need basis as per business SLA
· Perform Database tuning, indexing and run database queries
· Perform security & patch management tasks
· Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and database
· Provide consultation and DBA support for ongoing projects
