Role: Oracle DBA with RAC Builds

Location: Rhode Island

Duration: 18 Months

Rate: $/hr

Job Description:

Large environment exposure - they are 60 Terabyte Experience either setting up new Data Centers or experience migrating Data Centers. Should be able to talk about clustering, racs, etc.

The Senior Oracle Database Administrator is a highly skilled technical position that involves intricate knowledge of the Oracle database internals. May require on call responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

·         Database configuration, tuning, maintenance, patching, and problem diagnosis and resolution are all critical functions that the database administrator performs.

·         Manage all aspects of the physical database including schema’s, DDL, users, security, etc. in development, UAT and production environments.

·         Identify and resolve problems occurring in all database environments including performance related issues (i.e. database & SQL tuning).

·         Perform database software installs, configurations, patches, and upgrades.

·         Support DBA utilities, reorgs, index builds, etc and DBA tools, Oracle Enterprise Manager, etc.

·         Assist with performance and Disaster Recovery testing.

·         5+ years’ experience working with mission critical Oracle databases in a high profile type of organization.

·         5+ year experience in the following areas:

      o    Database configuration, tuning, maintenance, patching, and problem diagnosis and resolution.

      o    Experience with performance and Disaster Recovery testing.

      o    Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager.

      o    Experience in Unix OS and other DBMS platforms such as SQLServer and EssBase.

      o    Experience with Oracle 11G/R2.
