Location: Fort Worth, TX
Duration :6 Months +
Strong emphasis on storage is required for storage migration.
UNIX SA will be working with storage teams for migration of data from frame to frame and virtualization of storage.
Both array based and host based migrations will be used.
UNIX SA will be assisting with migration, during agreed down time from client.
Job Requirements:
Ability to work independently and drive issues to resolution taking ownership
7+ years of experience with UNIX OS including Solaris, Linux and AIX
5+ years of proven experience with volume management, and working with storage
Must have prior experience with storage migrations
Ability to juggle to multiple assignments in complex and stringent environment
Bladelogic and CiRBA experience is a strong plus
UNIX certification is preferred
Ability to develop automation using UNIX shell scripts
Should be familiar with VERITAS volume manager and VERITAS clusters
Must be familiar with EMC and Hitachi storage management from OS perspective
Should be familiar with AIX / Linux LVM
Must have through knowledge of zoning / masking / fabric and have skills to resolve host storage issues.
