Role: Hadoop Developer
Location: Alpharetta, GA
Duration: LONG TERM
Rate: $60/hr on C2C

Primary Skills Required:
- Big Data, Discovery, Hadoop, Hortonworks, Cloudera, MapR, Pig, Hive, HBase, Oozie, Ambari, SQL-H

Responsibilities:
- Participates in the evaluation, recommendation, and selection of hardware and software solutions.
- Reviews, evaluates, designs, implements and maintains internal and external data.
- Identifies data sources, constructs data decomposition diagrams, provides data flow diagrams and documents the process.
- Writes codes for database access, modifications, and constructions including Map Reduce Programs, Pig/Hive Scripts, SQL-H, Stored Procedures, etc.
- Develops and reviews project plans, identifies issues, resolves issues, and communicates status of assigned projects to users and manager.
- Experience in operational support and hands-on implementation Hadoop based Big Data Platforms.
- Gathers requirements, builds logical models and provides quality documentation of detailed user requirements for the design and development of systems.
- Directs quality of entire systems ensuring that the systems meet the needs of the business.
- Mentors less experienced Systems Analysts.

Qulifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration.
- 2 plus years hands-on experience in Big Data technologies - Hadoop (Hortonworks, Cloudera, MapR), Pig, Hive, HBase, Oozie, Ambari, SQL-H.
- 4 plus years of related professional experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 'Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Self starter, works well with others, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet regulatory deadlines.
- 3+ years experience with highly parallel processing databases like Teradata a must.
- 3+ years of ETL testing a must.
- Experience working with third party vendor data highly preferred.
