Business Analyst w/ Consumer Marketing
Location: New York, NY
Position Type: Contract
OVERALL SUMMARY
Seeking a dynamic Business Analyst with an interest in consumer marketing in support of the development of marketing strategies. This Business Analyst is a liaison between the various IT support teams and Consumer Marketing. The successful candidate will have exceptional communication and analytical skills and be able to clearly present problems and solutions to both technical and non-technical teams. The candidate will develop use cases and business requirements for specific tactics and overall CRM execution.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the planning and execution of interfaces between our client and various marketing platforms and partners.
- Develop business requirements documents in support of CRM discovery and implementation efforts
- Work with Consumer Marketing and IT Data Architecture to develop data structures that will support client reporting, address security and privacy concerns and facilitate the adoption of best in class CRM tools.
- Work with Consumer Marketing and the Research teams in defining marketing KPIs and the development of analytics in support of measuring success against those KPIs.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst with exposure to digital consumer marketing
- Familiarity with marketing analytics, KPIs and segmentation
- Experience with CRM implementations such as Sales Force, InfusionSoft and Indicative
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to partner with the business to define and document their current and future system needs.
- Expertise in eliciting and documenting business requirements through use cases and other means (including workflow diagrams, dataflow diagrams, screen wireframes, UML, etc.)
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical teams.
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to think outside-of-the-box when assessing possible solutions.
- Ability to set clear expectations, prioritize activities, and follow through to completion when working with other team members.
- Experience working with offsite team members in all aspects of system delivery including development and testing.
- Experience with iterative and agile software development life cycle methodologies.
- Expertise with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio & PowerPoint. Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint a plus.
- Media or entertainment industry experience preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree or commensurate work experience.
