Job Title: Business Analyst with PMO
Location: Jersey City,NJ
Duration: 6 months
Locals Required
Business Analyst to work in a preliminary analysis for a Project Portfolio Management (PPM) solution implementation. This is an initial analysis to implement an integrated PPM tool. Currently, project managers, resource managers, finance team and project portfolio management team (including tool administrators) are using the legacy tools (in house, Microsoft Project Server and Clarity) depending on their location. This project is integrate the tools to cater to the newly rolled out project management process for the bank. Initial task would be requirements gathering and analysis on current state and future state of the in-house PPM tool.
Skills required:
1. Must have experience working in an Enterprise Program Management Office (PMO)
2. Be able to work in a strictly followed waterfall methodology
3. Strong experience of project management methodology including demand management, schedule management, time management, resource management, project financial management and prioritize Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool releases
4. Ability to write detailed business requirements, functional design document, detailed design document and functional and user test cases in designated format
5. Perform in both roles as a business analyst and systems analyst since the role would evolve from planning to design to implementation phases
6. Create Application Documentation (User Guide, Operations Guide, Training Manual, Release Notes, End User Guide etc.)
7. Must have experience managing a PPM tool (HP PPM, CA Clarity, Primavera etc.) as an administrator or tool analyst
8. Must conduct interviews, meetings, JAD sessions for effective requirements gathering and efficient application design
Other skills:
5-6 years related IT work experience
4+ years of experience in an Enterprise PMO
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in waterfall methodology and some know-how of Agile
Prior PPM tool implementation experience is desired (not must)
May require some travel
