JOB DESCRIPTION: The manager is looking for a good Oracle/MS SQL DBA with some security background. Understand how security and cyber security works.

 

Oracle 70%

MS SQL 30%

 

Position will oversee a new database security tool, Database Activity Monitoring (DAM). Similar tool is INPERVA. This tool looks at all database activities, for threats or attacks trying to hit the database.

 

The system engineer will be responsible for monitoring database activities, performing vulnerability scanning on a regular basis (as of now the frequency is monthly) and fix the reported vulnerability. The system engineer will be responsible for keeping the Database Activity Monitoring (DAM) system up and running and making sure user events are captured and forward it to GSIRT.

 

Knowledge of:

·         In-depth knowledge of operating systems security configuration (Windows servers, AIX/Linux/Solaris)

·         In-depth knowledge of databases security configuration (Oracle, Microsoft SQL, Sybase).

·         Strong analytical skills (i.e., technical and non-technical problem solving skills).

·         Prior experience of working on Database Vulnerability Management (DVM) tool is a plus

·         Strong interpersonal skills are required.  Ability to work effectively with team members, clients and other areas of the IT environment

·         Excellent problem solving abilities, strong decision making skills and make sound judgment decisions.

·         Work effectively with team members, clients and other areas of IT – MUST BE A TEAM PLAYER – approachable. Everyone shares / helps each other
