PM/Lead/Fx Analyst for "legacy" Hybris team
Functional project lead for legacy web development team.
This person will be supporting the existing websites.
Eventually this could transition to support the hybris environment (hybris experience is desired but not required).
Role involves MANY smaller projects and infrastructure projects that we are/will be involved in.
Dynamic maintenance queue of smaller tasks that we churn through pretty heavily.
Small team and the project lead wears many hats including business analyst, QA testing, end user training.
The candidate must have prior eCommerce experience and willing to be hands on. Candidate must be local.
Mandatory skills
- At least 5 years of experience providing project management support for technical projects
- At least 3 years of experience with managing Web based projects (preferred).
- Demonstrated experience in process creation, improvement, and management
- Advanced knowledge of project management techniques and tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Quick learner, self starter, with a proactive attitude
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time while meeting deadlines
- Ensuring that projects are implemented on schedule and within budget; directing systems implementation projects by planning, directing, and monitoring the work of web developers.
- The candidate must be organized, detail oriented, possess the ability to prioritize workload, handle concurrent responsibilities and project tasks, and work individually and collaboratively in a team environment.
The successful candidate must have a proven background managing application development projects.
Experience managing web development projects on an e-commerce site is strongly preferred. Work is primarily in a Unix (Solaris, Linux) environment.
Responsibilities :
- Actively participates in the evaluation and prioritization of proposed systems projects based on
- cost/benefits, available IS resources, and overall IS objectives.
- Responsible for day-to-day management of projects within area of responsibility.
- Ensures the success of each project by directing system development phases including:
- Meeting project objectives within specified cost and time frame parameters and according to defined requirements.
- Communicating task status/issues to IS management.
- Developing project plans by drafting details task schedules and tracking project
- progress.
- Contributing to the allocation of appropriate personnel and resources to projects.
- Coordinating IS function and user resources.
- Tracking actual versus planned expenses for projects
- Researching and evaluating the acquisition/development of appropriate software
- products.
- Participating in the development of success criteria and ensuring that they are met.
- Conducting feasibility analysis.
- Gathering and organizing business/user requirements.
- Participating in application design review.
- Developing and conducting system/unit test plans.
- Coordinating and assisting in creation of user acceptance test plans and execution.
- Coordinating and/or participating in development of implementation schedules within IS and with business operation.
- System implementation planning and execution.
- May include user training sessions and associated documentation.
- Conducts ongoing communication within IS and with business operations (e.g., user review meetings for milestone sign-off, obtaining user feedback, reporting on project status).
- Collaborates with key customers including business users, corporate and IS management, and vendors.
- Directs day-to-day maintenance of production software systems.
- Participates in planning and execution of Disaster Recovery testing.
- Participates in the development of and compliance with written departmental standards and procedures.
