Position : Java Developer (Backend)
Location : San Francisco, CA
Duration : 6 Plus Months
Primary Responsibilities:
* Work closely with the other software engineers to design, deliver and manage our services with high uptime
* Design, deliver and manage data aggregation services.
* Incident resolution and root cause analysis of critical outages
* Perform maintenance and troubleshooting
* Implement solutions to system failures
* Proactively seek opportunities to implement improvements
* Contribute to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organization's Agile project life-cycle
Requirements:
* 2 to 3 years of experience backend Java server and web services development
* Experience designing and maintaining a cloud based highly-available (HA) service-oriented-architecture (SOA). Large scale experience preferred.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Knowledge of build release and configuration management practices, including branch-based development and patch/merging oriented work flow.
* Proficient in Linux
* Proficient with bug tracking system like Jira
* Familiarity with J2EE application development experience
* Familiarity with J2EE-stack application servers
* Strong communication and technical writing skills
