Contract Position: Sr. Java Developer

Location: Augusta, ME

Contract Duration: 24+ months

 

Duties

·         This position is for an on-site Java and PL/SQL developer, and requires no interaction with business users.

·         Develop and unit test a variety of maintenance requests Point of Sale Java application. 

·         In addition, develop and unit test Java web services.

·         Assist with the planned migration to Oracle 11g or 12c (undetermined at this time), again involving heavy Java and Oracle experience.   

·         Utilize Change Control software (Subversion) in conjunction with issue tracking software (Jira)

 

Skills /Experience Required:

·         8+ years experience with Oracle databases, preferably version 10g, 11g and 12c

·         8+ years experience in Java coding including web services

·         2+ year experience with Oracle Reports

·         5+ years experience writing PL/SQL scripts including packages, procedures, functions, DDL and DML code

·         Experience with Change Control software, preferably Subversion

·         Experience with TOAD preferred

·         Ability to work independently, and communicate effectively with IS management
