Job Title: Senior Database Developer (ORACLE PL/SQL and INFORMATICA)
Location: Smithfield, RI
Duration: 6+ months
We are looking for a Database Developer for our client. We are looking for candidates on W2 only.
PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE:
ASTS (Architecture and Shared Technology and Services), a division which specializes in providing first class database architecture, modeling and development services for various asset management divisions. This position will work within project teams that deliver applications within for Global Advisors.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a Software Engineer you will
• Work with our Delivery teams in a fast paced environment to provide Data Engineering solutions to a variety of real business challenges.
• Be a liaison between the DB Analysis and the rest of the Delivery, and be expected to analyze and resolve complex business issues
Education
• Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent is highly desirable.
Experience, Skills and Knowledge
The ideal candidate will:
• Have at least 4-8 years of hands-on experience in Oracle PL/SQL and ETL (Informatica) development
• Be familiar with UNIX shell scripting and Perl programming
• Have worked in the Asset Management or Financial Services industry
• Have demonstrated full Software Development Life Cycle experience using Rapid/Agile Development methodology
• Have worked with geographically distributed and remote project teams
• Possess very good written and oral communication skills, must have a 'Can Do' attitude
