Need Hardware Design Engineer || Redmond, WA || 12+ Months

 

Role = Hardware Design Engineer

Duration = 1 year

Location = Redmond, WA

Skills/Experienced Required:

·         Design Verification and Assurance activities of PC Servers & VMs.

·         Design and build experimental Servers/Clusters/Environment to evaluate performance of components/devices during software testing cycles

·         Assemble experimental circuitry as directed.

·         Experience and knowledge of server parts replacement,   Experience and knowledge of server hardware alerts and firmware versions and upgrades.

·         Adjust, calibrate, align, and modify designs and record effects on unit performance.

·         Experience in hardware design and/or hardware test environment required.

·         Experience in similar/comparable product on various PC servers from Dell/HP/Compaq is highly desired.

·         Capability to analyze hardware and firmware designs with an orientation to identify design and Performance challenges/issues and Bottlenecks.

·         Highly motivated individual with strong project orientation and communication skill preferred.

·         Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware, software, peripheral devices and cabling for both local and remote facilities

Primary Responsibilities:

·         Troubleshoot and identify Server hardware problem.

·         Determine what part or parts need to be replaced or alternate solution.

·         Maintain system logs, including, but not limited to: system, security, performance.

·         Document problems, error codes or messages and resolution in a format that would allow query capabilities.

·         Install and configure new hardware and software.

·         Racking servers, cable management and dressing of cables.

·         Document hardware, software, and firmware configuration.

·         Perform system checkouts.

·         Troubleshooting any reported problems.

·         Upgrade Server Hardware (whole servers or components such as hard drives, memory, cpu)

·         Apply updates, patches, and configuration changes.

·         Provide technical and configuration recommendations verbally and in writing.

·         Perform technical research as required in performance of system duties.
