DevOps Engineer - Continuous Integration

Location: Greater Los Angeles Area, CA

Duration: Contract (6+ Months)



We are searching for a strong DevOps Engineer to work on a long term contract basis for a client of ours in the Los Angeles Area, CA. This position will require expertise in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery in a Linux environment. The primary responsibility for this position will be to enhance our clients continuous integration environment, and lead their release process.

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field
• Experience with continuous integration concepts and tools - mainly Jenkins - proven implementation experience is required
• Prior experience or familiarity with Linux administration
• Familiarity with Java based web application servers - mainly Tomcat or JBOSS
• Good experience with source control systems including SVN and Git
• Familiarity with Python and Shell scripting
• Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, Firewalls, Load balancers)

Desired:

• Prior experience with Java, Maven
• Experience with cloud providers and maintaining Java applications in cloud
• Prior experience working in a SCRUM/Agile environment

Ideal candidates for this position will be strong communicators with previous experience working in either the broadcast or entertainment/media industry.
