Job Title: IT Security Analyst with McAfee ePO

Location: Downtown NYC

Mode: F2F after phone (local only, no skype)
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 6-12 months++

• The Temp Security Analyst will be responsible for daily management of the systems relating to information security.
• She/he will work with members of the Infrastructure team to resolve security issues and vulnerabilities.
• This position is a member of the Incident Response teams and acts as back-up for Incident Management.
• This position will be responsible to maintain documentation to ensure compliance with PCI, PII and state regulations.
• The individual will maintain the security systems and run vulnerability scans according to the information security program.
• The candidate will verify and resolve any issues relating to the network infrastructure that is not in compliance with the company policies.
• This position is responsible for producing Monthly Security Metrics reflecting the status of the information Security program.

Responsibilities:

Maintain Systems:

• Verify end-point systems are protected with anti-virus. Work with Client Services to resolve any issues.
• Ensure McAfee solutions are working properly

Incident Response:

• Begin Incident Response process for virus detections from various detection tools
• Review daily report from Client vendor determine if any action needs to taken

Monthly Scanning:

• Run external and internal Qualys scans monthly verifying all systems are being scanned
• Compile results and work with Infrastructure Team to resolve
• Submit reports quarterly to necessary  payment processors

Security Metrics:

• Compile metrics on the effectiveness of Information security program on a monthly basis
• Metric comprise of multiple internal and external sources
• Present metrics at Monthly Security Meeting
• Resolve issues discussed at Monthly Security Meeting

Additional Responsibilities Not Covered In Focus Areas:

• Assess network compliance using scanning tools to verify Firewall rules, router ACL's, and IP addressing 
• Utilize port scanners and packet capture utilities to verify servers/applications are communicating according to documentation.
• Update and maintain Information Security Policies.
• The vendors and technologies we use:
• McAfee ePO
• McAfee AV
• McAfee HIPS
• McAfee DLP
• Qualys Scanner

 

Education & Prior Experience Needed:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science; or 4+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience  
• Experience in the Retail industry highly desirable
• CISSP and/or other Security Certifications are preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a business emergency situation.
• Effective communication skills including written, verbal and listening.
