This is our direct-client opening for a Java UI Developer located in San Rafael, CA. This is a 4-6 month contract and our client is hiring multiple candidates for this position.
Position Description
Assist the development team with the designing, developing and maintaining a graphically rich, web based applications
Take responsibility for refining and implementing functional requirements: scoping, detailed design, effort estimation, coding, testing, debugging, maintenance and support
Participate in all aspects of an iterative software development process including design, coding and reviews
Play a leadership role on the team in guiding and mentoring less senior team members and proactively suggesting technical and process improvements.
Take responsibility for delivering quality software, within agreed timescales, to the highest quality.
Requirements:
Experienced with object-oriented design, classic design patterns, and a good hang of Agile development methodology.
Solid experience with Java and J2EE-based applications
Very good understanding of SPRING 2.5 and later, HIBERNATE and MVC Architecture
Experience with performance measuring and tuning.
Keen awareness of modern software engineering practices, including agile development methodologies, configuration management, and design for testability.
Extensive experience in commercial software development, with previous experience in a technical lead role preferred.

Java Persistence API (JPA)
