.NET/ UI Developer

Minneapolis-St Paul market

Project Description:

We are looking for talented and creative candidates who can build and create great looking web applications.  As a .NET Developer (UI), Consultant will work as part of a small (4-6) iterative team to design, implement and test web-based applications. 

 

Responsibilities/Deliverables that the resource will be responsible for:

·         Design UI screens using XAML, write C# code to implement the UI logic and use WCF to communicate with the backend,

·         Ensure your code is well documented, tested and is of highest quality,

·         Use your creativity and skills to propose appealing and sound technical solutions,

·         Participate in the iterative/scrum process, including task estimations during sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives

 

 

Skills Overview:

•5 to 8 years of experience building intranet / commercial-grade web applications using C# and .NET 3.5/4  

•1+ year of experience using Silverlight 3/4/5

•Strong understanding of WPF basics, WPF Controls, Custom Controls, Custom Layout.

•Experiences with MVVM and MVC design pattern

•Experiences working with TFS

•Solid background in OO design and programming.

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•Ability to work with minimal supervision, well organized, structured and creative,

•Ability to work collaboratively with other developers, technical lead and project managers to ensure quality product development and successful product releases

•Good problem-solving skills and ready to take initiative

 

Preferred Skills:

•Understanding of REST based architecture

•Understanding of SOA architecture

• Knowledge on working with Caliburn Micro and App fabric

• HTML5 / JSON/  AngularJS / KendoUI
