Position: Hyperion Essbase Admin

Duration: 6+ months

Fort Lauderdale, FL

Description of Position

High visibility position within the IT Analytical Systems department:

•             Possess expertise in Oracle Hyperion Essbase OLAP tool with the ability to design and develop supporting objects (i.e. calc scripts, load rules etc.)

•             Assist in design and development tasks within the context of an ongoing application development project

•             Support application development and monthly maintenance processes

•             Assist in month-end data processing and data integration troubleshooting

•             Assist in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving all problems reported to the IT Analytical Systems department from Essbase application users and third party data providers

•             Collaborate with team lead(s) from various areas within IT and the business to review and recommend technical alternatives and timelines

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

•             Primary Essbase cube design, development and support responsibility

•             Analyze problems as assigned and provide solutions via technical specifications to address business needs

•             Take ownership of data interfaces, automation jobs and other Hyperion processes

•             Produce consistent and accurate technical and end-user documentation of assigned applications

•             Understand how assigned applications/systems link with other programs/processes along with the overall system architecture and provide recommendations on how to improve existing/proposed processes

•             Adhere to company change management practices

•             Provide end user support on Hyperion Essbase and SmartView

•             Provision users and maintain security via Hyperion Shared Services

 

 

Mandatory Qualifications:

•             4 year college degree (Finance or IT-related field) or equivalent work experience

•             At least 3 years experience with Hyperion application development, support and maintenance with Hyperion Essbase (EPM 11) objects (i.e. BSO/ASO cubes, calc scripts, data load rules, MAXL, etc.)

•             Proficient in major Microsoft applications – (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Visio & Project)

•             Basic knowledge of SQL DBMS language and query development tools (i.e. Select queries)

•             Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to successfully work with other associates at varying levels of authority

•             On-Call rotation support after hours and weekends

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with the following Oracle EPM products:

•             Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) development

•             Financial Management (aka HFM)

•             Data Relationship Management

•             Hyperion Planning

 

 

Notes:

Hyperion Essbase Admin

-              Essbase , specifically

-              20 cubes maintenance

-              3-5 years hands-on administration experience

-              HFN, Planning, ODI (Integration), MDM

-              Comm with the biz/finance

-              Level of financial knowledge
