Position: PowerBuilder Developer
Location: Lansing, MI
Duration: 12 Months

Skills Required

• Knowledge and proven skills in PowerBuilder application development. • Knowledge and proven skills in Object Linking and Embedding to Microsoft Word. • Knowledge and proven skills in writing PL/SQL code for Oracle database triggers, procedures, functions and packages. • Knowledge of computer programming, data modeling, and object-oriented programming procedures and techniques. • Ability to effectively work with a software development team, make decisions related to assigned tasks, analyze business requirements, create design specifications, and construct and test computer systems. • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve development problems, and calmly and rationally assess situations. • Ability to communicate technical terminology at a level appropriate to the audience both verbally and in writing. • Ability to provide quality customer service, build trust through integrity of work, and build strategic relationships through teamwork are required

 

Experience Required

• 10 years direct work experience developing complex computer systems using PowerBuilder 11.5 + for the Microsoft Windows environment • 5 years of experience in designing database objects and creating tables, keys, foreign keys, database triggers, packages and materialized views in Oracle 10g or higher • 5 years of experience writing PL/SQL code for Stored Procedures in Oracle 10g or higher • Experience in performance tuning of PL/SQL code • Experience using sound source control methodologies and tools • Experience working directly with a system owner to gather business requirements, support customers during the testing phase, train and problem resolution

 

Candidate Evaluation Criteria *

Developing applications that access an Oracle DB	5 Years
OLE to Microsoft Word	2 Years
Maintain a Licensing and Enforcement application	1 Years
