One of my clients in (Hartford, CT) is looking for a (Performance Tester) for a
contract position, please have a look into the description and let me know your interest.
Job Description:
Title : Performance Tester
Location : Hartford, CT
He/She will work on a performance testing team that will assist in a wide variety of performance testing tasks. For example, but not limited to; gathering test requirements, creating performance test plans, creating / modifying performance test scripts, executing performance tests using various load testing tools such as Rational Performance Tester, analyzing results, creating final test reports. He/she will assist more senior performance testers and performance engineers. Typically requires 3-5 years of applicable experience.
Responsibilities:
• The Performance Tester will be responsible for the execution of performance tests (load, volume, stress, capacity and scalability) that meet and exceed business requirements.
• Execution of performance test scripts, and the creation of performance testing artifacts including test strategy and test plans, test cases, test execution reports, defect/issues reports, action/item reports.
• Ensuring that testing meets project milestone deadlines and manages any risk to those dates.
• Provides expertise on performance testing tools and capabilities.
• Collaborate with other teams.
• Must have a broad knowledge of performance testing methodology and tools (preferably RPT), with an understanding of various technologies and architecture.
• Should be comfortable writing simple to mid-level SQL queries.
• This position requires a person who is highly skilled at handling complex technical situations and has exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Direct scripting experience employing protocols HTTP, Web Services
• Desirable to have programming exposure to any/all of the following programming languages: C/C++, Java, VB, ASP, JSF and/or .NET.
• Hands-on experience with performance test simulations, performance analysis, performance tuning, performance monitoring in a n-tier environment.
• Serviceable Knowledge of SOAP, WSDL, and XML required.
• Desirable, experience with mock service creation via Soap UI or other comparable software.
