Position 1:  Hadoop Developers with Java or Python
Location:  Jersey City, NJ

Duration: 12+ Months

Job Description

 

·         Collaborate with business analysts and internal team in eliciting and articulating solution requirements

·         Develop and manage processes, tools and workflows involving data moving within, into, and out of the hadoop environment

·         Involving data ingestion, transformation and making this data available to internal groups requiring access to it.

·         Work with internal and external team to understand the complex datasets, identify the best solution to transform the data into hadoop.

·         Actively promotes and participates in process improvement. Be part of architecture review team and assist in development of processes and applications.

·         Review current programs and processes for opportunities to improve effectiveness.

·         Identify data requirements to integrate new data sources or develop new systems.

 

Required Skills

 

·         Proficiency in Python and/or Java programming language

·         In depth knowledge on the Hadoop stack (MapReduce, HDFS, Hive and Sqoop)

·         Expert level experience with Shell Scripting and Python.

·         In depth understanding of different architected approaches to managing and querying large data sets

·         In depth knowledge in sqooping data from any of RDBMS database (Oracle, Netezza..etc)

·         High-level knowledge in data pub/sub model using Kafka and Flume.

·         High-level knowledge in Hadoop Security tool Kerberos and Sentry

 

 

Position 2:  Hadoop Developers
Location:  North Chicago, IL

Duration: 12+ Months

Required Skills

 

·         Developer experience in Hadoop stack including  Hbase, Hive, Pig, Java, etc.

·         Shell scripts and Python scripts experience

 

Nice to have Skills

 

·         Spark,  Web service /REST API, Apache Phoenix

·         AWS, EDW experience, Big Data Architecture

·         Search

·         Schema design – de-normalization of Star schema

·         Big Data certifications and Supply chain and/or Pharma experience
