Technical Business Analyst
Washington DC

 

Must have skills:

·         Minimum 5 years of specific business analysis experience.

 

·         Specific (hands-on) experience in the development of requirements in support of infrastructure (Technical Services) type initiatives.

 

·         Proficient in requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation.

 

·         Develop, write, and communicate functional and non-functional requirements.

 

·         Ability to lead and drive the requirements phase of the SDLC

 

·         Ability to lead, design, and facilitate requirements workshops and Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions

 

·         Assess client needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to prioritize immediate business needs and recommend options, risks and cost vs. benefits. 

 

·         Procure technical assistance to help in problem resolution. 

 

·         Investigate, resolve and escalate problems.

 

·         Promote an understanding of IT roles, processes and activities to the business units.

 

·         Support and participate in the formal reporting of project status. 

 

·         Knowledge of technology solution assessment and validation.

 

·         Effective professional relationship building skills; ability to work within multiple team environments, both cross matrix and conventional functional based settings.

 

·         Effective communication skills, written and verbal.

 

·         Demonstrated ability to quickly learn existing business processes and combine knowledge from multiple disciplines in order to produce an optimal business solution.

 

·         Demonstrated ability to manage and\or participate in multiple projects\assignments with medium to high degree of complexity.

 

·         Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills.

 

·         Effective negotiation and conflict management skills.

 

·         Ability to execute requirement development activities with a moderate level of independence.
