Senior Java/Hadoop Developer
8+ years of Software development experience using core Java
1-2 years hands on experience with Map Reduce and Java is MUST
Cloudera CDH 4 or 5 working experience
Experience in Cascading, Giraph graph, GraphX, spark, scala and HDFS – Cascading experience is critical for this role. Hive and Pig are good but they are using classes and objects and Java libraries to translate to map reduce jobs, so devs with only Hive and Pig likely won't be strong enough.
Strong understanding of Hadoop Architecture using Cloudera
Strong XML experience will also be a huge benefit.
REST web services experience is critical. Must have developed services, calling and consuming isn't enough.
This role is 70% Web Services development using REST and 30% Hadoop. It's a JavaScript frontend talking to JBoss on the backend using REST web services.

- Environment: Core Java, Cloudera Hadoop, Cascading, Map-Reduce, Solr, Lucene, Apache Pig, Marklogic, Linux, JBoss, RESTful Web Services, Spring, Freemarker Templates, JUnit, Ruby, Cucumber, Groovy, DOJO
This role will be backfilling one of our Leads that we are moving to a separate project within the company. The backfill is critical to us being able to move him. I need to fill this as fast as possible.
