Position: Software Engineer (Warehouse Management Systems)

Minneapolis, MN

6 Month Contract

 

Experience with Manhattan package solution and associate technologies is required.

 

Skills:

• Expertise with Object Oriented languages (e.g. Java/Java Spring, .NET, C++, Ruby, etc.)

• Highly proficient with SQL scripting on relational databases (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, etc.)

• Experience in handling secure data, encryption, authentication, and access controls

• Experience in building large scale highly available apps

• Working knowledge of source control management system and branching/merging practices (MSTFS, GitHub, etc.)

• Working knowledge integration technologies is a plus (MQ/Message Broker, Kafka/Camel, etc.)

• Excellent Analytical skills

• Strong communication skills

• Prior experience with agile development methodology is a plus

Background:

• BS degree in computer science or equivalent work experience

• 3+ years of full tech stack engineering experience with ability to dig in and code

• Previous Supply Chain experience, including knowledge of warehouse management processes for direct-to-guest fulfillment

• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems, preferably the Manhattan WMOS package

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and execute continuous improvement initiatives that optimize and improve service and performance of product movement systems within Target's Fulfillment Centers.

• Participate in technical design activities to ensure stability and supportability of systems implemented.

• Provide Level 3 application support and aid in research of technical issues.

• Participate in quality assurance activities.

• Understand and adhere to data security protocols, including the use of encryption, authentication, etc.

• Advocate for and ensure standards are followed for our technology stack, design patterns, and guiding values of the domain architecture.
