Java Developer Summary: Primarily function of a Java Developer is to design, develop, and implement web-based Java applications to support business requirements. 

 

Job Responsibilities: 

·         Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components, applications

·         Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts Leverage industry Java best practices to design, test, implement and support a multi-tier origination Java solution.

·         Assure quality security and compliance requirements are met for supported area Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment. 

·         Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner.

 

8+ Years of experience:

·         Demonstrable proficiency in core Java.

·         Demonstrable knowledge and application of commonly used design patterns.

·         Has leveraged frameworks such Spring and Hibernate.

·         Experience developing RESTful web services.

·         Demonstrable experience developing web applications.

·         Has delivered one or more applications using frameworks and libraries such as Angular, Ember, React/Redux.

·         Understands JavaScript and its idiosyncrasies.

·         Groks functional programming.

·         Is a problem solver first and programmer second.

·         Agile software development practices.

·         Excellent communication and writing skills.

·         Experience using software development best practices.

·         Commercial software/product development experience preferable.

 

Education:

·         Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field
