Job Title : Microsoft Business Intelligence Architect

Location : Chicago, IL

Duration : 12+ Months

Requirements

• 8+ years of working knowledge of architecture, design and development of scalable Business Intelligence solutions for a large data warehouse, using different architecture, design and modeling techniques.

• Working knowledge of Power BI 

• Familiarity with AWS a big plus

• Extensive knowledge of database management systems, replication concepts, data warehouse systems and business intelligence tools.

• Understanding of SQL Server 2008 R2/2014/2016, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS including Dimensional Modelling, SharePoint BI Integration, Administration of Servers.

• Advanced grasp of Relational database design and Multidimensional & Tabular design concepts.

• Solid ETL development experience (expert SQL experience – we do not use tools like Informatica or Datastage)

• 5+ years of experience of building impactful reports and dashboards using major BI toolsets.

• Experience in developing IT architecture plans and software development methodologies, collaboration and leadership

• Must be able to provide simplified and standardized solutions to achieve the business objectives

• Well versed with database administration tasks, SQL and MDX concepts

• Keep current with Business Intelligence best practices and operational requirements.

• Strong analytical, multi-tasking and problem solving skills along with strong communication and teak work skills.

• Mentor and train BI team resources in the Microsoft BI technology stack and best practices

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business audiences.
