Role: Sybase DBA
Location: Dallas, TX
Location: 6+ months
Desired Skillsets:
• Very good in RDBMS concepts
• Good Exposure with Day-to-day dba activities
• Exposure to work with ASE 15.7 or higher on Linux
• Expertise in ASE Installation, EBF and upgrade
• Exposure with various DBCCs, optdiag, update statistics, MDA etc
• Expertise in Query troubleshooting and server tuning.
• Good in backup and recovery
• Flexible to provide On-Call Support
• Ability to work independently on multiple tasks
• Disaster Recovery Planning and Testing
• Working Experience with netbackup for database backup and restore
• Good in Unix shell scripting
• Exposure to work with database developers
• Good understanding and working knowledge on ITIL Best Practices
