Job Title: Full Stack Web Developer/Front End
Location: Chicago, IL
Length: 6 Months with possibilities of extension or conversion to full time
Green Card or USC Only.
Job Description
· The role is located in the River North area of Chicago, and has some support responsibilities for US trading markets which means a start-time of 8:30 Central or before, and occasional evening & weekend work for software releases, etc.
· Have an in-depth understanding of programming and delivering software as a craft.
· Are excited by the concept of coming up with something cool to share with our visionary management team.
· Are a little forward thinking. You've got an interest in newer languages and have played with some bleeding edge software. You've got predictions about the web's trajectory in the coming years.
· Can sling together a JOIN or two in SQL
· Have a broad range of interests when it comes to development
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Interpret business requirements and programming specifications to write software programs that solve business needs
· Confer with system analysts, managers, technical personnel and clients to resolve problems of intent, inaccuracy or feasibility, output requirements, input data acquisition, coding use and modifications and inclusion of internal checks and controls
· Works under supervision on basic programming tasks
· Works within established procedures to develop, test, implement, and maintain application software. Recommends improvements to established processes
REQUIREMENTS:
· 5+ years programming experience
· 3+ years experience with Javascript in cross-browser environments (IE,Firefox,Chrome,Safari)
· 2+ years of proficiency with HTML(5) & CSS (3) / SASS 3.x.
· 2+ years of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, etc. replete with compile-time media-query and responsive styling.
· Experience with Angular 2.x is a plus.
· 2+ years of advanced jQuery including DOM selector and manipulator
· Exposure to Javascript libraries / frameworks such as Angular, React, etc.
· Expertise with server-side technologies such as Java, REST services, nodejs,…
· Experience with responsive design and mobility.
· Exposure to common MVC frameworks used in web applications such as struts
· Requires experience with inversion of control patterns such as the Spring/DI framework
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Working knowledge of common software design patterns and anti-patterns
· 3+ years experience with Object Oriented Analysis and Design
· 2+ years experience with distributed systems development
· 2+ years experience with network and I/O programming
· Experience with distributed or relational database systems
· Experience with concurrent software principles and design
· Experience with agile development (e.g. Scrum / Kanban) is a plus
· Experience in financial services (e.g. trading / electronic brokerages) is a plus.
· Exposure to Spring Boot and other Pivotal tools is a plus.
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information System, etc. ; or equivalent experience
· Preferred Skills, Education, Experience:
· Financial Services experience helpful, but not required

· We are looking for a full stack developer, however, we are specifically seeking out a candidate that has stronger front end experience. Candidates should have the following characteristics:
· Front End Experience - Most of the candidates experience should be Front End
· Angular
· JAVA
· API knowledge
· Need to have excellent communication skills as they will be interacting with end users (internal customers)
· Agile Experience is required - this is an agile shop
· Must understand relational databases (SQL)
· UI/UX Interface/Experience
· Contract Position or CTH - CTH Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
