Job : Senior Java/J2EE developer

Primary Location : United States-California-San DIego

Schedule : Contracting

 

Description

  We are seeking an experienced, senior J2EE software developer who works efficiently with business partners to translate business requirements to software solutions. The role includes involvement in all stages of software development from requirements gathering to design, develop and support applications. Has had experience working on or exposure to Web Security Solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Participate in requirements gathering, brainstorming sessions and design discussion
2. Translate business requirements in to technical requirements
3. Design and develop comprehensive software solutions based on requirements
4. Provide technical consultation and interface with customers – internal and external.
5. Co-ordinate testing and issue resolutions with the Quality Assurance team
6. Ability to design secure, cost effective and risk based solutions based on Business Requirements
7. Provide support for developed solutions

 

Requirements:

· Four-year degree in CS, Engineering with 5+ years as a seasoned systems techonlogist.

. Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and supporting complex software solutions

. Solid  technical understanding of the platforms in use: J2EE, HTML5, RIA, Oracle, Tomcat, WebSphere, and

  design patterns such as Struts, Spring, and Hibernate

. Oracle - may consider MySQL/MSSQL experience also

. PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby - must be strong and hands on

. Strong knowledge or expertise on security/vulnarabilities

. Strong expertise on Javascript, jQuery

. Must have experience supporting mission critical applications in production environment

· Must possess a thorough understanding of current Java programming standards, methodologies and strong Object Orient Concepts

 

 

Preferences:

· Good Documentation skills

· Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills; ability to work in a fast paced environment

· Good debugging skills with the ability to reach out and work with peers to solve complex problems

· Strong interpersonal skills

.  Strong communication skills across users; must be a go getter person; able to jump in and more proactive.
