Position : Linux Engineer

Location : Chester brook PA

Duration : 1 Year PLUS Contract

Job Description

This Linux Engineer position would be a consultant representing our company onsite where we have had an ongoing project for the past 3 years. We are looking for someone with deep Linux skills and having a broader skill-set than just linux would be ideal as the problems are often very complex and involve lots of different interconnected systems. 

It would really help to understand VMware, Firewalls, Load-Balancers, and General Data Center Connectivity & Architecture.

We are looking for someone primarily with lots of SLES (SUSE Enterprise Linux Server) experience or at least many years of general Linux experience

•Expert hardware & software troubleshooting skills

•Very resourceful

•Bash/Perl scripting experience

•Full understanding of Linux boot process and how to fix it when it breaks

•Strong in L2 networking

•Ability to diagnose performance bottlenecks and tune systems accordingly

•IBM hardware or especially IBM process experience a plus
