Role: Sharepoint Developer

 

Client:  UAC in Houston, TX. 

 

Duration: 4-6 months contract

JOB COMPONENTS:

·         SharePoint 2010 Enterprise, MOSS 2007 Enterprise

·         Developing Event Handler's

·         Provide and maintain solutions that exploit "out of the box" SharePoint functionality.

o   Use OOB templates and webparts and modify them to custom solutions (e.g. modify time tracking site template to reflect custom requirements)

·         Support deployment of custom solutions when required to meet business objectives.

o   Able to deploy WSP's and demonstrate core competencies in PowerShell and STSADM

·         Work with customers to define customer requirements, communicating opportunities where technology can be used to improve business processes.

·         Collaborate with SharePoint Development team regarding architecture, review of new technologies and selection of 3rd party tools.

·         Consult across the organization on SharePoint-related projects and technologies.

·         Installing and upgrading SharePoint

·         Developing Custom Web Parts (non-existing OOB web parts)

·         Creating and customizing Timer Jobs

·         Workflow development using SharePoint Designer 2007 and 2010

·         Developing workflows using WWF (not SP Designer workflows)

·         Custom feature development

·         Branding/CSS development

·         Experience using BDC/BCS

·         InfoPath form development

·         Experience with Windows Communication Foundation and consuming SharePoint web services

·         Customizing OOB web parts via .NET development in VS (not SP Designer)

·         Basic SQL development experience

·         Training users on processes and systems.

·         Other duties as assigned.

·         The following would be a plus

o   Installation and configuration of the BI stack applications such as Power Pivot, PerformancePoint Services, and Excel Services

o   Understanding of security and best practices with SharePoint provisioning

o   Deploying OOB SharePoint sites, web parts, workflows, libraries, and lists

o   Understanding of Kerberos/NTLM authentication and Forms Based (LDAP) authentication

o   InfoPath Code behind development a plus

Qualifications

·         Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline

·         4+ years administering and developing SharePoint 2007 and 2010 solutions while working closely with a user base.

·         Exceptional communication and team work skills

·         Detailed oriented and effective time management

·         3+ years developing with .Net Development including ASP.Net and C#

·         4+ years of experience with custom development utilizing SharePoint 2007 and 2010 technologies, developing web parts, BDC/BCS, Workflow, and Event Receivers

·         Microsoft SharePoint certification is a plus.
