Role: Sr. Big Data developer

Location: NYC, NY

Duration: Long term Contract

 

Client expects who has very good knowledge in HBase and Hive with Data architect background

 

Required Skills:

 

·         Advanced/expertise level knowledge of HBase.  Experience with HDFS, MapReduce and Hive.

·         Completion of commercial Hadoop based projects successfully.

·         Experience with UNIX based distributed systems.

·         Experience in analysis, design, development and implementation of large scale produces and Java/J2EE projects.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Design and implement map reduce jobs to support distributed processing using Java, Hive and HBase.

·         Build libraries, user defined functions and frameworks around Hadoop.

·         Evaluate and implement new technologies/tools/frameworks around Hadoop eco systems, such as MapReduce, HDFS, Hive, HBase, Pig, etc.

·         Participate in the installation, configuration and administration of a single-node and multi-node Hadoop HDFS cluster.
