CANDIDATES MUST BE ABLE TO SHOW PORTFOLIO OF WORK

 

DESCRIPTION
This opportunity is a contract position for a fast-growing, highly successful financial technology company based in New York City.  This developer will be working on building the base UI architecture to a brand new web application.  The team is small but strong.  What's needed is a senior, talented and collaborative UI developer to help deliver the interface.

 

REQUIREMENTS

-          Experience in building the UI of websites and/or web applications

-          Minimum of 5 years of web development and UI development experience is required

-          Strong written and oral communication skills

-          Desire and willingness to work in a collaborative, innovative, flexible, Agile, team-oriented environment that the team

-          Critical skills

o   HTML 5

o   CSS 3

o   Javascript (Object Oriented Javascript)

o   jQuery (latest)

o   AJAX, JSON

-          Must have's/Important skills

o   KendoUI

o   Experience working within Razor view & MVC Applications

o   Responsive Design & Media Queries

o   Agile Development Practices

o   Knockout.js (or Angular.js)

o   XML / XSLT / XPath

o   Experience with mobile, tablets, PC's/Adaptive & Responsive design

-          Nice to have

o   Building UI's on top of Razor, MVC 5, .NET 4.5, WCF/Web API/Web Services/REST

o   Photoshop & graphic design experience

o   IOC, Dependency Injection

o   MVVM, EF

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

-          Architect, design and build the UI framework for the new generation of our product.

-          The UI Developer operates effectively as a member of the development team.

-          Operates effectively as an individual for quick turnaround of enhancements and fixes.

-          Integrate third party tools (KendoUI) into the framework.

-          Mentor other developers on use of controls and frameworks.

-          Integrate the UI with the current MVC architecture.

-          Responsible for meeting expectations and deliverables on time and in high quality.

Effectively develops in a clean, well structured, easily maintainable code.
