Here is the requested information:
1) Creation of users/Groups and granting the necessary permissions as per roles.
2) Configuration of new Netezza users from both Netezza/client servers.
3) Troubleshooting the query performance issues. Analyzing the query plan-files and should have ability to rewrite the query if needed.
4) Troubleshooting system performance issues. (H/w SPU/SPA/Switches/SAS Gig Ethernet interfaces).
5) Proficient in analyzing all the Netezza related log-files like (pg.log/dbos.log/sysmgr.log etc).
6) Should possess over-all idea of concepts of backup/restore methodologies.
7) Should be proficient in tackling various database related errors (Memory/Swap/Host memory errors).
8) Should have clear concepts of Gen-stats/Reclaim/Groom/nz_migrate.
9) Should possess basics of Linux scripting/Shell scripts.
10) Should possess concepts of Query History configuration.
11) Should possess basics of Nzsql/Nzplsql concepts.
12) Should be proficient in adding new h/w events both (automated/manual events) , Runaway query events etc.
13) Willing to work in 24/7 on-support environment.
14) Associate would be taking responsibility of deploying the database changes in dev to prod servers accordingly.
15) Associate has to work with IBM Netezza Support / Engineering for major fixes and s/w or h/w defects (Vendor Management).
16) Should have good Netezza overall Architecture concepts.
17) Associate has to work closely with different application teams/users to help and deploy the new projects as scheduled.
18) Associate has to assist various Netezza users across the globe for any Netezza related issue
