POSITION: ORACLE DBA (MUST HAVE ORACLE 12C EXP. AND NEED 11+ PROFILE)

LOCATION: WOODLAND, MD

DURATION: 6 MONTHS

Position Description:

This position will be responsible for:

• Administration of databases throughout the development and production lifecycles.

• Design and develop logical and physical database designs from customer requirements.

• Administration tasks for several Oracle databases.

• provide advice and support to development resources.

• Provide guidance in the creation and modification of standards and procedures.

• Supporting the standing standards, policies and procedures of the customer team.

• Provide mentorship to group members and will be expected to help develop and support mid and junior level staff.

• May be scheduled for after hours on-call support and will be required to apply production packages during non-peak hours.

• The selected candidate will accept other duties as directed by management.

Skills Requirements:

 

Required.

• Excellent verbal and written communication.

• Experience preparing technical specifications.

• Oracle 12c DBA experience in a Unix/Linux environment

• Database and Application  performance tuning

• Experience with Oracle PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, and Trigger development.

• Expertise with troubleshooting and debugging

• Expertise with RMAN backup and recovery.

• Expert with Real Application Clusters (RAC) administration and development.

• Expert with Oracle Advanced Security.

• Expert with Enterprise User Security.

• Exposure to Data Masking.

• Exposure to Materialized views (design and implementing)

• Expert with Data Guard.

• Expert with Advanced Compression.

• Expert with Multitenant.

• Expert with Installation and configuration of Oracle 12c. and all of its Components

• Expert with Listener Configuration

• Expert with Oracle ASM sizing and configuration.

• Expert with Linux command line commands, BASH Scripting and regular expressions

Desired.

• Able to prepare technical presentations.

• Able to prepare requirements documentation.

• Database Schema design and implementation.

• Experience with Label Security.

• Experience with Python.

Education:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, with eleven years of professional experience.
