C++ Developer for our client in Newport Beach, California.

Duration: 6 months to 1 year contract.

Location: Newport Beach, California.

Description: This opportunity is for a C++ Developer to join our IT department and supporting functions in compliance technology on an on-going basis.

The role involves working on server development that focuses primarily on the compliance domain. Primary job responsibilities include: Maintain and development of compliance server written in C++. Actively involved in designing, coding, testing, deploying and analyzing software. Collaborate and participate in code reviews.

Mandatory Skills:

Hands on development experience in C++. Minimum 7 years of experience

Solid understanding of BOOST Libraries

Proficient in object oriented programming

Proficient in writing SQL queries and trouble shooting and performance tuning in Oracle Database

Solid data modeling skills

Good understanding and experience implementing Multithreading in C++

Good understanding in data structures and algorithms

Good understanding of software development life cycle.

Knowledge of bash, Python, Shell scripts in Linux / Solaris environment

Very Good knowledge in Fixed Income

Excellent communication skills

Ability to Multi-Task

Should be a self-starter and take initiatives on new ideas

Nice to Have:

Experience in C++ 11

Experience in Java , C#, WPF

Experience in gmake , posix threads , ACE / BOOST libraries, OCCI / OCI libraries , STL , IPC

Experience in Times Ten Database

Experience in Agile Methodologies

Experience in Messaging using IBM MQ/AMPS

Source control using SVN or any other source control tools.

Profiling and Performance optimizations.

Experience scheduling/maintaining jobs in Autosys platform / scheduling tools.

Experience in Open source projects

Experience in developing Rule Engines
