Skills :

 

Software Test Engineer Lead/Principal Engineer

Analyze & decompose large systems in order to design nimble test approach. Impact design and development of service/component to improve testability.

Conduct research on emerging testing tools/technologies and approaches and work with developers in POC. Create mocks and emulators to isolate system under test.

Design and develop test frameworks to speed up test development and reduce test maintenance.

 

Drive automation initiatives from building (Ant, Gradle and Jenkins/Bamboo), testing (JUnit, Selenium, Protractor, Cucumber), and deploying (Chef, Puppet, Ansible) services.

Write automation code to deploy, monitor systems and automate tasks to speed up releases Design and run stress and load tests.

Ensure good coding practices and peer reviews are applied to test code. Ensure proper Quality Engineering policy and testing coverage is applied. Work with team members to troubleshoot and resolve production issues. Mentor junior engineers

Continuously learn and apply new concepts and technologies. Personal initiative and technical innovation are expected from all Neustar employees.

Leverage and contribute to our evolving shared infrastructure.

 

Qualifications/Education Requirement

Four-year technical degree or equivalent work experience.

9+ year experience in software Test Engineering and Test Automation. Strong scripting skills (Perl, Python, Ruby, etc.).

Experience with writing test code in core Java.

Expertise in test automation frameworks such as Cucumber, Selenium, Protractor or JMeter. Experience with Webservices API – specifically REST APIs.

Experience with implementation of continuous Integration.

Experience with continuous deployment and automated deployment tools (chef/puppet/Ansible). Experience with performance testing of distributed systems.

 

Experience in a Linux / Java environment.

 

Experience with monitoring solutions such as Nagios, CloudWatch, Graphite, Prometheus, Splunk, Graylog, etc. will be a plus Track record of practical problem solving, excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills.

Have a good understanding of system availability, reliability, scalability and visibility on premises and on the cloud. Exposure to open source industry standard test tools, technologies and frameworks.
