Role: Unix/Linux Systems Administrator
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Duration:- 8+ Months
Job description:-
Mandatory Technical Skill:
1 .5+ years as a Unix/Linux Systems Administrator supporting complex, mission critical, revenue generating SaaS or IaaS environments
2. Automation technologies such as Puppet or Ansible
3.Experience in SLA driven teams with strict service delivery and performance requirements
4. Experience with various Site Operations functions such as monitoring, logging, and break/fix work.
Desirable Technical Skills:
1.Exposure or experience supporting virtualization technologies, particularly OVM, VMWare, Xen, and/or KVM is a plus
2.Understanding of distributed systems
Mandatory Functional Skills:
1. Monitor the production environment and provide hands on with incident management and documentation
2. Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation
3. Contribute to Operations documentation maintenance
4. Followup on existing tickets and escalations to drive issues to completion
5. Perform triage and data mining on issues as they arise
6. Strong communication and documentation skills
Desirable Functional Skills :
Ability to perform both interrupt driven work (such as break/fix or emergency maintenance work) as well as project work (scalability, new technology, or cross functional projects).
The SRE will fill a vital role in the Site Reliability team, providing hands on monitoring as well as incident documentation and management for the environment as part of a global team supporting and maintaining project.
