Title: Strong Cassandra Developer
Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: 12+ Months ( Long Term.)
Experience: 8+ Years, Mid - Level
Start Date: September, 6th 2016.
Key Tasks:
· Development & Architecture of Cassandra.
· Responsible to migrate a high volume transactional database from Oracle to Cassandra.
· Responsible to capture Real-time streaming data through Kafka & Spark and store it in Cassandra.
· Design de-normalized data models in Cassandra and build functionalities offered by legacy Oracle database.
· Responsible to Integrate Cassandra with front-end APIs Aligning with development, architecture teams to propose, deploy new hw/sw environments required for Cassandra and to expand existing environments.
Required:
· Experience in Software Development
· Experience with all phases of SDLC, including system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation
· Experience in architecture and creating Cassandra NoSQL Database
· Experience in data modeling in Cassandra
· Hands-on experience with CQL and Cassandra java/scala drivers
· Experience in Apache Spark for data aggregation and analytics
· Experience in data migration to Cassandra from relational model
· Experience in data migration from RDMS to Cassandra
· Hands-on experience troubleshooting the Cassandra environment in a high volume production environment
· BS Degree in related area or equivalent experience
· Certification (s): Certified Cassandra Developer ( Developer Certification for Apache Cassandra, V2.1 or above)
· Programming Language (s): Java, CQL, Apache Spark, Scala and Apache Solr
· Strong Knowledge of Java Script DOM, Dojo. Ability of create design documents based on requirements.
· Experience in bench-marking Cassandra Cluster using Cassandra stress tool.
· Experience in administering, installing, configuring, troubleshooting, performance monitoring of Cassandra Cluster.
· Commendable knowledge on read and write processes, including SSTables, MemTables & Commitlog.
· Conceptual understanding and implementation experience of Microservices.
· Ability to define project scope and technical. Unix Shell Scripting Required
Role:
· Design, architect & create Cassandra No SQL Database
· Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
· Analysis and design for the products and services in the Wireless business to fulfill the needs of strategic initiatives
· Understand the business needs and make critical design decisions and implement the same with other team members
· Participate in day to day activities involving design, development, test support, deployment, production monitoring for Order Management platform
· Communicate with external teams including business clients on various issues and resolutions thereof to provide best customer experience
· Participate in requirement gathering and create design documents
