Title: Web DevOps Engineer
Location: Bloomington, MN
Duration: 06 Month Contract to hire
Interview: Phone/Onsite (local), Skype/Phone (nonlocal)
Immigration Status: GC or USC
Seeking a Web DevOps Engineer.
This position is involved with the development, implementation, and maintenance of HealthPartners Internet, Intranet, and Client Server applications.
This person will manage midsized to large projects; ensuring scope, timelines, and budgets are aligned with project plans.
The person in this position will partner with vendors to integrate products and services into web architecture.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Participate in the development and communication of DevOps principles and activities.
• Monitor application performance and make metrics available for our project teams and leadership.
• Designs and conducts application tests, including load/stress and performance.
• Troubleshoots development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms; identified as a subject matter expert.
• Partners with vendors to ensure appropriate data and system integration for upgrades and implementations.
• Participates within disaster recovery testing ensuring that disaster recovery plans are updated and maintained.
• Oversees and reviews data flow diagrams for accuracy; recommending enhancements for more efficient and effective data flow processes within the application.
• Reviews and provides input on vended contractual agreements.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• Excellent understanding of system infrastructure and integration of proposed code changes into that infrastructure
• Excellent understanding of the LAN and WAN network
• Strong understanding of core operating systems and platforms
• Experience utilizing UNIX (VI, Korn Shell)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field
• 4+ years experience in object oriented development using Java; (JSP/Servlet, Java Beans, EJB) technologies
• 1+ years enterprise DevOps experience
