Job Description
We are currently seeking a top notch Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Automation Engineer with QA Engineering skills to join our team in Costa Mesa. This role will join an Agile web application delivery team and will be responsible for the design, creation, and execution of manual & automated tests for complex distributed web applications backed by a combination of Java and .NET services leveraging RESTful APIs in an AWS based cloud environment. The successful candidate will effectively collaborate with software engineers, DBAs, DBEs, and IT specialists using Agile methodologies to develop high quality software.
Responsibilities:
Create, maintain & execute complex manual tests on web applications backed by Java, .NET, RESTful and SOAP APIs, SQL Server, Dynamo DB and batch files
Create, maintain, execute, and analyze results for keyword-driven automated tests to ensure efficient and sufficient regression test coverage of ECS' product portfolio
Potentially help extend/maintain test automation libraries written in Python
Troubleshoot, isolate, and document problems encountered during testing
Support QA analysts with script creation & execution questions/problems
Generally help improve testing processes, tools, and methodology
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience testing complex n-tier web applications at all tiers (GUI, API, and DB)
3+ years of hands-on experience with test automation using, Cucumber, Robot Framework and/or Selenium
5+ years of testing relational and/or NoSQL databases a plus.
Experience with test automation best practices (selectors, page objects, modular scripting)
Hands-on experience with source control systems, such as GIT or TFS (branching, merging, etc.)
Object oriented software/web/API development experience (e.g. C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript)
Understanding of basic software design patterns
Insightful and logical problem isolation & problem solving skills
Very focused & methodical with good time management/multi-tasking skills
Able to independently adapt & thrive through change… but know when to ask for help
Collaborative team player
Excellent oral & written skills
Experience using Jenkins to drive automated testing
Experience with Splunk
Experience with B2C & B2B high volume batch systems and high traffic websites, focusing on ecommerce.
Financial Services experience is a plus
Education:
BS degree or equivalent experience
10+ years of QA Engineering experience or Software development experience
Real world experience with enterprise test automation frameworks and automated test design
Experience in an Agile, continuous delivery environment
