Position : Teamcenter Solution Architect/ PLM  Solution Architect

Location : Buffalo, New York

Duration : Long term

 

Job Description:

·        Lead the architecture & development of PLM processes; functional capability

·        requirements & specifications across a number of capabilities including but not limited to

·        Part/BOM (Bill of Material) Mgmt., product structuring/configuration, integrated change

·        management, document management, requirements management, integration with

·        downstream systems, and Project Planning.

·        Implementation of a common PLM processes; Definition of the requirements,

·        documentation of to­be processes, aligning the processes with multiple sites and lead

·        the business to a successful PLM introduction

·        Work with process/functional owners, experts, PLM Solution Architects and business

·        stakeholders within and outside engineering to define future state. Other functions

·        comprise global quality, planning, sourcing, materials management and manufacturing.

·        Analyze 'as­is' state, identifying metrics to quantify 'as­is' state, collecting and

·        consolidating inputs for business benefits.

·        Delivering risk analysis, management and a mitigation plan for the PLM project while

·        analyzing, combining and simplifying existing processes and its documentation

·        Develop the functional/process transformation roadmap for migrating from the existing

·        PLM/PDM system/s to the new system.

·        Work closely with business leaders and process owners to facilitate the Organizational

·        Change and manage related communications.

·        Effectively communicate on a regular basis vertically and horizontally in the organization

·        PLM Functional / Process transformation progress demonstrating accountability for

·        functional and business objectives. Coordinate with all functions to communize and

·        integrate processes & IT systems.

·        Work with the ERP team to maximize PLM benefits in ERP.

·        Coordinate and execute user acceptance tests for PLM system.

·        Develop training material and rollout sessions for the PLM system at different sites

·        Act as a change agent for business processes

·        Provide, assess, and, if necessary, optimize PLM System processes, supervising

·        changes during Project Execution.

·        Stay current with enabling technologies and work as a partner to promote their use

·        Participate in the preparation of long­range systems plans and assure that they are in

·        concert with business objectives and goals

·        Support the annual budgeting sessions.

·        Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

·        Be the senior PLM domain level expert. Lead PLM solution architecture design and

·        build activities across PL.

·        Take ownership of complex implementation issues and provide design solutions and

·        guide project teams for successful implementations.

·        Support and/or guide team through problem definition, issue identification and work plan

·        development using issue based problem solving principles

·        Assist with facilitating software assessments

·        Gather and document technical and functional user requirements

·        Develop functional and technical specifications

·        Support development of application and technical architecture

·        Configure PLM software to meet specifications

·        Support the development of custom code (including integrations to ERP)

·        Develop and execute test scripts, document outcomes, and perform analyze/fix bugs

·        Develop data architecture and manage data migration efforts

·        Support business readiness and change management activities prior to go­live

·        Architect systems, integrations, interfaces and configurations of Design Engineering and

·        Manufacturing Engineering systems

·        Provide multiple solution options and recommendations based on extensive experience

·        and best practices.

·        Requirement & Document Management

·        Product Configuration

·        Parts, Part Classification, BOM, & Change Management

·        Integration with System Engineering, Program Planning & Timing & ERP tools.

·        Data Migration from legacy systems.

·        Ability to work independently; lead small teams focused on specific work stream

·        Strong oral and written communication skills

·        Good Analytical skill, Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to

·        exercise mature judgment

·        Eagerness to mentor junior team members

·        Proficient use of Power Point presentation tool, and MS office tools.

·        Proven writing skills for mass communication.

·        Ability to document use cases, requirements and relevant technical documentation.

·        Demonstrated leadership and team­building skills

·        Knowledge of six sigma is added advantage
