Job Description:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 6+ years of hands on experience administering/monitoring high performance, high availability database clusters
- 3+ years of experience with multiple database technologies that include 2 or more of MongoDB 2.x-3.x, MySQL 5.0 – 5.6, Couchbase, Vertica, Cassandra, Redis, elastic search.
- 2+ years of experience with Linux scripting (perl/python/bash)
- Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases. Understanding of database architecture
Preferred Qualifications:
- Thorough understanding of server configuration and how it affects performance and cost
- Hands on experience with Mongo DB and Cassandra DB, is a plus.
- Thorough understanding of sharding
- Query analysis
- DB Schema design
- TCP dump
- Python
- Monitoring
- Multi datacenter environments
- High availability techniques
- Knowledge of Big data is a plus
