We have a requirement with our direct client for a Senior Business Analyst. Duties/Responsibilities include:Under the guidance of the ACA/ICD-10 Program Director, the Senior Business Analyst will provide business analysis and consulting services related to the Affordable Care Act (ACA) related legislation. Specifically related to ACA and ICD-10 testing and other concurrent business requirements as a result of the ICD-10 implementation impacted agency functional areas and external partners as related to assessment, remediation and implementation of the ICD-10 initiative. Collaborate with subject matter expert (SME) working with senior level management to facilitate the adoption of ACA related initiatives and identify impacts, analyze issues and drive solutions for the ICD-10 initiative.
Role requires a strong HIPAA and a strong ICD-10 business analyst six sigma business process with healthcare (preferably Medicaid) experience. Using HIPAA transaction set experience (5010), translate technical requirements into business needs, perform gap analysis, and document technical and business specifications. To support the ICD-10 engagements the candidate must also have extensive knowledge of healthcare business processes in order to perform evaluations of ICD-10 points of contact. Using past experience you must develop assessment reports, alternative solutions, recommendations and the creation of an implementation roadmap.
Candidates must have strong written and verbal communications skills; This person will provide strategic communications, make recommendations on appropriate communication methods and create content to ensure consistent and effective internal and external communications.
Required Skills:
THE ABILITY TO:
• Evaluate Affordable Care Legislation to determine impact on current policy and translate into business and system requirements.
• Use Lean Six Sigma methods to identify process improvements opportunities
• Previous experience documenting business process, streamlining and building operational plan.
• Transform business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and scenarios.
• Strong regulation knowledge of both HIPAA 5010 transaction set and ICD-10 initiatives.
• Write detail reports and develop dashboards to support ICD-10 testing effort
• Document and support development of test scenarios/cases and the execution of testing activities.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills (verbal and writing).
• Superb written and oral communications skills, including the ability to give presentations to executive management and communicate both orally and written to external partners, vendors and stakeholders.
• Strong proficiency is necessary.
• Impeccable integrity. This project will have very high visibility both internally and externally. Candidates must have confidence with their abilities to make correct decision and the courage to speak out when necessary
• Proven consulting experience with ability to work at both the senior manager level and staff level.
Preferred Skills:
• At least 5 years of experience working with EDI transactions in a healthcare environment (preferably Medicaid)
• Deep knowledge of healthcare operations (preferably Medicaid), business processes and EDI infrastructures.
• Previous experience writing strategic project communications for external and internal stakeholders.
• Previous experience supporting testing a plus
• Proficient in the Microsoft Tool Suite
